Job summary

Magna Cosma International in Liberty, Missouri, seeks a Production Team Leader to direct daily manufacturing operations, train operators, and support quality initiatives. This hands-on leadership role will drive safety, productivity, and efficiency while coordinating with maintenance and quality teams on shift.

You will lead pre-shift meetings, monitor performance, and respond to issues, aiming to meet production goals safely. Shift Premiums apply; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing, production, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and support team members.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to collect information, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Train and support operators on machine operation, quality inspections, and standardized work procedures
• Assist with daily production activities to help maintain safety, quality, and productivity goals
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate support for machine or tooling concerns
• Monitor product quality and report non-conforming parts to leadership and quality teams
• Update communication boards and escalate operational issues as needed
• Complete maintenance work orders and support equipment uptime efforts
• Conduct daily 5S, safety, and workstation audits
• Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, concerns, and production updates
• Respond to Andon calls and coordinate the appropriate support groups
• Fill in for operators when needed and support production flow throughout the shift
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to improve processes, products, and workplace efficiency
