Job summary

Magna International Cosma division in Clinton, TN is hiring for B and C shift production roles. You will perform basic assembly, operate spot weld machines, conduct quality checks and safety inspections in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

The position requires 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, basic math and calculator use, and reliable teamwork. Compensation starts at $20.34–$21.11 per hour, with low-cost health and dental insurance, 401(k) matching, paid vacation and

Responsibilities

• Quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans; authority to stop non-conforming processes.
• Perform basic assembly of components and sub-assemblies.
• Operate resistance spot weld machines to assemble products.
• Perform basic safety inspections on equipment and record data.
• Complete SPC checks and charts as required.
• Weld destruct testing and recording of data as required.
• Basic machine maintenance and weld tip changes.
• 100% visual inspection and packaging of product.
• Operate machines at optimum efficiency to achieve acceptable rates.
• Tagging and labeling containers per work instructions.
• Housekeeping and other activities as assigned; assist with inventory.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to supervisor, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative
• Perform basic assembly of components and sub-assemblies
• Operate resistance spot weld machines to assemble products
• Perform basic safety inspections on equipment and record data
• Complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) checks and charts as required
• Weld destruct testing & recording of data as required
• Basic machine maintenance/weld tip changes
• 100% visual inspection & packaging of product
• Operate machines at optimum efficiency to achieve acceptable rates
• Tagging and labeling containers per the work instructions
• Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
• Assist with Inventory

Technical Education

• Basic math skills needed
• SPC (Statistical Process Control) preferred but not required
• Training on proper machine settings (as needed), tagging, labeling, inspection, destruct, and packaging procedures specific to the assigned work cell

Working conditions

• Ability to move throughout the plant
• Extended sitting and standing; reaching and bending
