Job summary

Magna International is seeking a Logistics Area Leader in Liberty, MO to coordinate production schedules with suppliers and internal teams, manage inventories, and optimize material flow across the supply chain.

You will lead planning, scheduling, and supplier relationships, ensuring uninterrupted production and efficient inventory levels while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in program planning, scheduling, logistics, or supply chain operations in automotive industry or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, Lean, Kanban, JIT, and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production schedules, releases, and forecasts with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor inventory levels and address supply chain risks impacting production or deliveries.
• Analyze material demand and consumption trends to support production requirements.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to meet customer requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, delivery performance, and material availability.
• Maintain ERP, MRP, and EDI systems to support planning and inventory accuracy.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management, Kanban, and supply chain optimization.
• Lead and support material planning, inventory analysis, and logistics operations.

Magna is seeking a Logistics Area Leader to support material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and supplier relationships to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining efficient inventory levels and uninterrupted production operations.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate production schedules, releases, and forecasts with suppliers and internal teams

• Monitor inventory levels and proactively address supply chain risks that could impact production or customer deliveries

• Analyze material demand and consumption trends to support production requirements

• Work closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to support customer requirements

• Manage supplier relationships, delivery performance, and material availability

• Maintain ERP, MRP, and EDI systems to support planning and inventory accuracy

• Support continuous improvement initiatives involving inventory management, Kanban systems, and supply chain optimization

• Lead and support material planning, inventory analysis, and logistics operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field preferred

• 5+ years of experience in program planning, scheduling, logistics, or supply chain operations in the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Strong knowledge of inventory management, Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, JIT, and logistics operations

• Experience using ERP, MRP/MPS, EDI, and other supply chain management systems

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• APICS certification is a plus

• Experience with continuous improvement, Kanban systems, FIFO, PFEP, or Kaizen activities is preferred
