Job Summary: To coach associates to meet quality, cost, delivery, morale, and safety (QCDMS) targets in compliance with the quality policy and continuously work towards associate success. Shift is from 2:30pm to 11:00pm ET, Monday through Friday, with some overtime required.
Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production in the specific area to meet required schedules.
- Control 5M changes—investigate problems/processes, notify affected departments, and implement appropriate actions.
- Troubleshoot and fix machine problems.
- Conduct daily start-up meetings with associates to communicate expectations and strategies.
- Monitor production start-up for abnormal conditions and take necessary actions.
- Verify quality of products and associate work.
- Train and develop associates.
- Maintain charts, graphs, and reports daily and monthly.
- Manage subordinate documentation such as timesheets and attendance.
- Establish and maintain operator instructions.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of associates.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on machines.
- Implement kaizens using PDCA via the Associate Success Center.
- Complete daily logbooks with details and strategies for the next shift.
- Review and approve associate timecards.
- Recommend improvements to productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Promote ownership and good morale among associates, acting as a key member of Employee Involvement.
- Supervise departmental line keepers and associates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (must meet NC State or Federal educational requirements).
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Prefer 2 or 4-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

- Ability to apply up to 66 lbs of push/pull force unassisted.

- Follow procedures and work instructions, and suggest improvements.
- Report problems or non-conformances immediately.
- Record issues properly for corrective actions.
- Assist in problem-solving and preventative activities.
- Contain or stop processes to prevent contamination or environmental impact.

Annual Salary: $60,000-$75,000. Additional Compensation: Shift Premium, Straight Time Pay.
