Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to support daily manufacturing operations and guide a production team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes while coordinating with maintenance, quality, and leadership. A high school diploma or GED is required, with manufacturing leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Team Leader or lead role is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production activities and ensure smooth parts flow.
  • Support operators with machine operation, work processes, and quality checks.
  • Train and coach team members on equipment, quality, safety and methods.
  • Monitor quality and escalate non-conformances as needed.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality for issues and repairs.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain visible communication boards.
  • Perform 5S and safety audits; promote organized, safe environment.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive Kaizen-style initiatives.
  • Provide temporary coverage when operators leave the line.

Production Team LeaderDepartment: ProductionReports To: Production Area LeaderEmployment Type: Full-TimeSchedule: A, B, and C ShiftsAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and dependable Production Team Leader to support daily manufacturing operations and lead production activities within an assigned area. This position works closely with production operators, quality, maintenance, and leadership to ensure safe, efficient production and consistent product quality.The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing professional who can lead by example, communicate effectively, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and help a production team meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.What You'll DoLead daily production activities and help maintain efficient parts flow within the assigned production area.Support operators with machine operation, work processes, and quality inspection requirements.Train and coach team members on equipment operation, quality standards, safety procedures, and proper work methods.Monitor production quality and immediately identify and communicate non-conforming parts or quality concerns.Respond to equipment issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and other support teams when additional assistance is needed.Perform minor equipment corrections and complete maintenance work orders as required.Respond to Andon calls and follow the appropriate escalation process when equipment or production issues occur.Conduct pre-shift meetings to review production performance, open issues, safety concerns, and daily priorities.Maintain communication boards and ensure important production information is current and visible to the team.Perform daily 5S and safety audits, including verification of safety guards and required safety equipment.Promote a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.Identify opportunities to improve processes, products, systems, and the work environment through continuous improvement activities.Encourage team members to participate in problem-solving and improvement initiatives.Provide temporary production coverage when operators need to leave the line.Communicate production concerns, staffing issues, quality problems, and equipment downtime to the appropriate leadership.Lead by example through strong attendance, work ethic, professionalism, teamwork, and positive behavior.Support company safety, quality, environmental, and operational policies.Treat all employees with fairness, dignity, and respect while promoting open communication and teamwork.Perform other duties as assigned.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.Previous experience as a Team Leader, Lead, Production Lead, Senior Operator, or similar manufacturing leadership role is a plus.Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and workplace safety.Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues and know when to escalate problems.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to train, coach, and support production employees.Ability to make decisions, set priorities, and work with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.Ability to identify problems, gather information, determine root causes, and help develop effective solutions.Demonstrated integrity, dependability, and professionalism.Safety & QualitySafety and quality are critical to this position.
