Job summary

Wabtec Corporation seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a team of technicians on daily manufacturing operations. You will guide problem solving, drive process adherence, and develop objectives for yourself and others while ensuring schedules and timekeeping are maintained.

You will mentor operators, participate in EHS initiatives, and collaborate with internal/external customers to prioritize work and improve quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to Operations team including troubleshooting and repair guidance.
• Train and develop technical skills of Operations employees; educate on business strategy and metrics.
• Participation in Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and corrective actions as an expert in safety aspects.
• Support production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage area within budget; use data analysis to identify and execute improvements.
• Interface with internal and external customers, define shift priorities, and manage start-up and change meetings.
• Manage employees and scheduling requirements including timekeeping, overtime, and disciplinaries.
• Communicate and enforce safety policies and plant policies.
• Participate on cross-functional teams and coach other team members.
