Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead a team of technicians on the Erie site. You will drive process adherence, solve production problems, and execute objectives for yourself and others while maintaining schedules and hourly workforce leadership.

You will train staff, monitor safety programs, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and quality. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma/GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing/machining experience.
• Strong communication skills and leadership experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with moderate impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and leadership to the Operations team, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Train and develop technical skills of Operations employees and align with business metrics.
• Participate in Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and corrective actions as an expert in safety for the Operations scope.
• Support and meet production schedules, drive productivity and quality initiatives, and manage area within budget using data analytics.
• Interface with internal and external customers to set shift priorities and lead meetings.
• Manage staff scheduling, timekeeping, overtime, and discipline.
• Enforce safety policies and company handbook across the site.
• Participate in cross-functional teams and coach teammates to lead.
