Job summary

Best Promotions Promo in Texas seeks a Production Team Lead to ensure daily production demand is met and to train staff while upholding safety and quality standards. The role involves planning, organizing, and advising on strategies to develop products per specifications.

You will collaborate with supervisors and other departments to maintain production metrics, improve processes, and support continuous improvements. Prior supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Experience leading teams or projects strongly desired.
• Two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of workflow in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with supervisor and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Use basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the department.
• Motivate workers to enhance production quantity and maintain high production standards.
• Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
• Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
• Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor.
• Assist with production as necessary.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring production is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The Production Team Lead provides effective training to the department and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. Will plan, organize and recommend strategies in ensuring that product is developed successfully, in accordance with all specifications.

• Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse and Human Resources to resolve issues.
• Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
• Update production metrics and facilitate regular team communication.
• Identify and support continuous improvement efforts with Production Supervisor.
• Ability to assist with production as necessary.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Work with Production Supervisor and Human Resources to ensure performance standards are met by employees. This includes performance reviews and performance management when necessary.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will be assisting the Production Manager with supervision of employees within the department.
