Job summary

Jamco Products Inc., a Myers Industries Company, is seeking a Production Team Lead to drive safety culture while achieving quality, productivity, and cost targets. You will train, manage, and schedule hourly production staff to meet department goals.

The role requires 2–3 years in a leadership role, strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Expect a Monday–Friday shift with potential Saturdays as needed, in South Beloit, IL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years working in a leadership role.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
• Safety as a paramount consideration in the workplace.
• Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for actions.
• Dependable and trustworthy.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficient in root cause analysis methods (5-Why, 4M, Fishbone, A3).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and help improve safety culture.
• Drive compliance to all safety & Quality programs.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings.
• Ensure facility compliance with internal & external standards.
• Achieve department production goals and KPIs.
• Ensure products meet Jamco quality standards.
• Recognize nonconforming parts and address them.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and train employees.
• Determine root causes of manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate safety incidents and follow up actions.
• Document coaching conversations with staff and teams.
• Coordinate with other team leads to meet production plans and resolve bottlenecks.
• Assist in development and training on procedures and ERP systems.
• Communicate attendance issues to Supervisor/HR daily.
• Model Myers Core Values in daily actions and communications.
• Set expectations and hold teams accountable through coaching.
• Resolve conflicts and promote open communication culture.
• Perform other duties including line work as needed.
