Job summary

Jamco Products is seeking a Production Team Lead for the 2:00pm - 11:30pm shift (Mon-Fri) with mandatory Saturdays. You will drive a proactive safety culture while meeting quality, productivity, and cost targets; train and manage hourly staff and schedule production teams to achieve goals.

The role requires leadership experience, strong problem solving, and proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems. Expect emphasis on safety, process improvement, and cross-functional teamwork in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment and helps to improve overall safety culture at Jamco
• Drives compliance to all safety & Quality programs
• Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings
• Ensure that the facility complies with all internal & external standards.
• Achieve department production goals, cost objectives, and KPIs
• Ensure that all products meet Jamco Quality standards
• Recognize nonconforming parts
• Lead and promote continuous improvement initiatives including engaging and training employees
• Determine the root cause of manufacturing issues and develop corrective actions
• Determine the root cause of safety incidents, complete investigations and follow up actions.
• Document coaching conversations with Individuals and or team members.
• Schedule and assign personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results
• Assist in the development and training of every team member on procedures, ERP, programs and matrix
• Team Leadership: Communicate attendance issues with Supervisor/HR daily
• Set expectations and hold team accountable using coaching communication
• Manage and resolve conflict among employees and drive open communication
• Perform other duties including line work to support production needs

Shift: 2:00pm - 11:30pm Monday - Friday, Mandatory Saturday as directed by business needs

Wage: $25/hour + $1.00/hour additional shift differential for 2nd shift.

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Team Lead is expected to drive a proactive safety culture at all times while achieving and maintaining production goals related to quality, productivity, customer service and cost. This position is responsible for training staff, managing staff and scheduling hourly production associates.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES

• Maintains a safe working environment and helps to improve overall safety culture at Jamco

• Work with other Team Leads to accomplish production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; identifying and eliminate bottlenecks; and reporting results of the processing flow.

• Assist in the development and training of every team member (New or Active) on procedures, ERP, programs and matrix to improve individual and team performance, cross training abilities and efficiencies.

• Team Leadership:

• Communicate your teams’ attendance issues with Supervisor and / or HR on a daily basis.

• Consistently demonstrate Myers Core Values through your actions and your communication. Make sure each team member understands his/ her roll in living Myers Core Values on a daily basis. .

• Ability to set expectations and hold your team / all Jamco employees’ accountable using coaching communication mythology.

• Ability to manage and resolve conflict among employees and drive a culture of open communication

• Perform other duties as assigned including working on the line when asked to assist with day-to-day production needs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma required.

• Minimum of 2-3 years working in a leadership role.

• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.
