Job summary

Abbott in Columbus, OH is seeking a Team Lead Operator to guide daily production activities on the nutritional and pediatric product lines. You will act as a functional leader, coaching operators, coordinating with maintenance, and ensuring GMP and safety compliance on the line.

This role requires strong knowledge of production operations, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with Quality Assurance, Scheduling, and Engineering to meet output goals and cost targets.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years in the department and fully trained on equipment, machines, and processes.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in food, pharmaceutical, or nutrition manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GMP, EHS&S, and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and mentor operators on the production line (≥75% time).
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to meet production objectives.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Perform first-level maintenance, CIP, sanitation, and preventive maintenance on line equipment.
