Job summary

nVent in Solon, OH is seeking a Press Team Lead for 1st shift to ensure uninterrupted production flow and to coach team members for safety and quality. You will back up the Supervisor, train staff, and help onboard new associates while promoting Lean, safety, and continuous improvement.

As a first-line leader, you will coordinate with materials flow and guide the team to meet daily goals in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years production/warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to train and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide backup to Supervisor for assigned areas.
• Be primary contact for area team members.
• Assist in interviewing and onboarding new associates.
• Guide, develop, and train employees to meet production goals.
• Monitor attendance, shift start-up, hand-off, and breaks.
• Ensure safety; report hazards; participate in safety inspections.
• Support Lean activities (5S, Kaizen) and continuous improvement.
• Operate equipment as needed (e.g., CRTs, forklifts).
