Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a production supervisor to manage assigned personnel on the Denver production lines. The role requires directing teams, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating with maintenance and QA to meet production targets.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manages assigned personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
• Leads through effective goal setting, communication, and coaching.
• Assists with personnel decisions including hiring, corrective actions, terminations, wage decisions, and promotions.
• Motivates, corrects, and challenges personnel with a positive approach.
• Monitors and supervises all aspects of assigned production line(s).
• Ensures lead associates properly use personnel team and follow work standards to produce a defect-free product.
• Ensures work teams are fully staffed to maintain targeted workflow.
• Makes sure all production change-overs are performed properly and efficiently.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is performed on machines and that equipment is stored properly.
• Assists in production scheduling to improve production leveling.
• Ensures area of responsibility has been properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintains compliance with safety rules and GMPs.
• Ensures PPE is used correctly and areas are free of safety hazards.
• Assumes responsibility for production quality and continuous improvement.
• Ensures products are produced to customer specification and are defect-free.
• Ensures work teams follow standard work practices to improve efficiency and reach targets.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
