Job summary

Butterball in North Carolina is seeking a Production Assistant to support the Supervisor in a busy production area, ensuring daily tasks, assignments, and rotations are followed to meet on-time production goals.

You will help with equipment setup, quality checks, and training of staff, while maintaining a safe, clean work environment and complying with USDA/GMP policies. The role requires flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Follows direction of Production Supervisor to assign and instruct daily duties.
• Observes equipment operation and reports malfunctions or safety issues.
• Provides timely feedback to supervisor on production issues.
• Helps coordinate daily equipment setup to keep the line on time.
• Performs required checks and takes accurate measurements.
• Assists in training staff to ensure a quality product.
• Supports ergonomic and performance evaluations for new hires.
• Arrives before shift start to assist area setup.
• Maintains punctual attendance; willing to work weekends and holidays.
