The role emphasizes coaching, standard work, and continuous improvement, with a focus on meeting takt times and maintaining quality. Previous hands-on leadership in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production or assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated reliability, teamwork, and performance in a hands-on role.
• Strong understanding of standard work, quality expectations, and takt time principles.
• Good communication and peer leadership skills.
• Willingness to support and coach others while performing production work.

Responsibilities

• Guide a small team of 8–10 operators or technicians on daily production tasks.
• Monitor takt time and schedule, escalating risks or issues to the supervisor.
• Provide peer coaching, task coordination, and informal training to team members.
• Assist in material readiness, tool availability, and 5S at the workstation.
• Support quality checks and ensure adherence to standard work instructions.
• Lead daily team huddles and update production boards; communicate shift goals.
• Model safe work behaviors and reinforce safety policies among peers.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities led by supervision.
