Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Team Lead for its manufacturing operations. This role blends responsibilities of a Production Technician (level III) with team leadership to support training and achievement of production targets for photovoltaic modules.

Ideal candidates have experience as a Coater Technician I or higher, strong safety mindset, and the ability to lead and train others while maintaining quality and data-driven decision making. On-site role with potential for supervisory growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for Associate degree or certificates in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains good housekeeping.
• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Completes training within the required timeframe and trains team members on procedures.
• Leads team on assignments and supports issue resolution.
• Performs maintenance on equipment using hand tools and instruments.
• Operates forklift and crane with proper training when required.
• Interfaces with equipment computers to monitor parameters and alarms.
• Monitors SPC data and makes decisions to maintain process control.
• Escalates issues with clear communication and recommendations.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams on problem solving and testing.
