Job summary

INX International Ink Co. in North Carolina is seeking a Production Team Lead to manage a production department, align with the master schedule, and drive daily output.

You will supervise up to 15 hourly employees and coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Manager to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals. You will apply strong manufacturing knowledge, lean concepts, and problem-solving skills to optimize processes, interpret reports, and coach a team toward measurable performance

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Demonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of production processes.
  • Excellent math, verbal and written communication; able to write reports and procedures.
  • Proficient with MS Office and other computer skills.
  • Experience leading, coaching and delivering performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of OEE, Lean, or TPM.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a Production Team Lead to work at one of our facilities. The Production Team Lead reports to the Production Supervisor and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role you will be responsible for:

  • Directing, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of product
  • Serving as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methods, normally to a maximum of 15 employees
  • Communicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicable
  • Interpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
  • Additional assigned duties as directed by Production Supervisor or Production Manager.
Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have 2 to 5years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experience
  • Demonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processes
  • Have excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skillsin order to write reports,business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate proficiencywith Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
  • Have prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others
  • Possess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPM

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • SAP Knowledge
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • Proficiencyin Spanish, Polish, or sign language
  • Manufacturing Program Planning and Coordination
  • UV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledge
  • Have worked in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Inventory Control
  • Experience with Change Management
