Job Title: Production Team Lead (1st Shift)
Location: Akron, Ohio
Hourly Rate: $19/hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Team Lead to oversee operations on the 1st shift. The role involves coordinating production activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising production teams, managing resources, and ensuring that productivity and safety goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and prioritize daily production activities based on the weekly production plan.
• Supervise and train employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
• Monitor product quality, inspect for conformance to specifications, and ensure necessary machine adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, scrap, and inventory, entering data into the system at the end of each shift.
• Enforce housekeeping standards and ensure proper storage of materials and components.
• Manage payroll and attendance records for employees, providing guidance on discipline when necessary.
• Perform PF2 slitting operations and ensure materials are stocked and prepared for production.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, safety, and productivity.
• Monitor and complete daily checklists to ensure compliance with Layered Process Audits (LPA).

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and speak effectively.
• Ability to solve problems and implement logical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and the ability to measure and calculate using units of measure, fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with using a tape measure, calipers, and scales.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
• Regularly required to handle tools or controls and perform various manual tasks.

Work Environment:

• Exposed to wet, humid conditions, fumes, and mechanical parts.
• Moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to heat.
