Job description

This confidential company is a fast-growing import manufacturer specializing in innovative LED lighting products. Our commitment to quality and efficiency drives us to deliver cutting-edge solutions in the lighting industry.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Production Lead to join our Production team. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes, contributing directly to our mission of providing top-notch LED lighting solutions.

Responsibilities

This position leads and coordinates the daily operations of our Production Department including working with our Production Manager to assign work to techs, monitor performance and ensure a quality output in all products. This position is also responsible for maintaining a 5s work environment while meeting Production goals.

• Wiring Diagrams: Create diagrams & SOPs using Smart Draw or Auto Cad.
• Sample Mockups: Review first time mockups of new products and make adjustments as needed prior to a build run.
• Bill of Material Creation: Add tested and approved BOM in ERP based on sample verification and testing.
• Inspections: Inspect all builds to ensure that lighting products are assembled according to the wiring diagram for quality assurance and the product has met safety standards and guidelines.
• Technical Support: Assist our sales team & customer support on questions regarding assembly, installation and product specifications.
• Recommend continuous improvement initiatives for our Production Department.
• Collaborate with Engineers to streamline Production efficiency and processes.
• Fabricate, assemble and test LED lighting products according to company specifications.
• Monitor employee performance by designating builds that are appropriate to the employees level of build development and adjusting as needed.0
• Production goals are reviewed and set by Management. In the job analysis process, areas of improvement are identified and SOPs are re-evaluated and updated.
• Keep the department up to date in 5s compliance.
• Lead the team by keeping track of all orders, testing, returns, and what is coming in and our of the department.
• Use Kanban cards to keep track of projects, inventory, etc.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering, technical support, or prior production assembly lead role is required.
• Experience in electrical wiring is a must.
• Able to create and read wiring diagrams.
• Must be computer literate: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Technical support whether directly or indirectly with customers.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Lean manufacturing and / or ISO9001 experience is a plus.
• Knowledge in using general Hand and Power tools.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Department Basics: 5s, individual workstations (not assembly line), work is given to each employee based on their individual level of build understanding and development. New employees will start with basic builds and work their way up to more complicated detailed builds. Each employee is responsible for the total build assigned to them from start to finish.
