Manpower San Diego is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to build and support production automation systems that boost engineering productivity and reliability.

You will develop software, data pipelines, and workflows, work with stakeholders, and maintain continuity during organizational transitions. This hands-on role emphasizes delivery, operational support, and knowledge transfer within a dynamic ASIC-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS, SE, EE or related field with 4+ years ASIC design/verification experience.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience building automation, backend systems, or data processing workflows.
• Experience developing maintainable production-quality software.
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain automation tools, scripts, and services.
• Build and support Linux-based automation systems and engineering workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues across software, databases, jobs, and data pipelines.
• Improve reliability, monitoring, logging, and production readiness.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver practical automation solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and production support activities.
