Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer (Automation & Backend Systems) to join the Yield Architecture Engineering Automation team in San Diego, CA.

This hands-on role requires Python, Linux, SQL, and data-processing expertise to build production-grade automation and backend services. Responsibilities include developing automation scripts, data pipelines, and integrated workflows, while using AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field with 3–4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Proficient Linux/Unix and SQL with relational databases.
• Experience building automation tools, backend systems, or data-processing workflows.
• Experience delivering production-quality software and using Git or similar VCS.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Practical experience with GenAI-assisted software development tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts, tools, and backend services.
• Build Linux-based automation systems and engineering workflows.
• Develop data-processing pipelines and database-driven workflows.
• Integrate data from multiple systems using SQL, databases, and APIs.
• Troubleshoot defects, database issues, jobs, and data pipelines.
• Improve reliability with monitoring, logging, and operational support.
• Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
• Maintain production-quality code, testing standards, and version control.
• Collaborate with teams on design reviews and issue resolution.
• Support knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.
