Job summary

UST is seeking an ASICS Engineer in San Diego to build and maintain production automation systems that boost engineering productivity and reliability. The role involves designing IP for high-performance ASIC/SoC blocks, collaborating across software and hardware teams, and documenting complex designs.

The ideal candidate has strong Linux and Python skills, experience with SQL and backend workflows, and a track record of producing production-quality software.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/EE or equivalent experience.
• Strong Linux experience and production-grade software development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define, model, design and document IP for ASIC/SoC.
• Create architectures, specifications, and system simulations.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, product, and program teams.
• Evaluate design flows from high-level design to verification.
• Utilize RTL to GDS Flow and Virtuoso for complex blocks/ICs.
• Write and review detailed technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects.
