About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Production Support Engineer to join our team and ensure the stability and reliability of critical enterprise applications in a 24x7 production environment. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve our platforms and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead troubleshooting efforts to quickly identify and resolve root causes of production issues.
• Collaborate on change deployments and work on application enhancements.
• Assist in incident and problem resolution, applying best practices and structured problem-solving techniques.
• Recommend improvements in monitoring and support processes.
• Conduct application reviews and provide actionable feedback to enhance code quality.
• Support data processing and perform advanced troubleshooting alongside L2 teams.
• Maintain strong familiarity with escalation procedures, MTTR/MTTA metrics, and support tools.
• Work in shifts and on weekends as needed to ensure continuous availability.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in production support, engineering, or system administration.
• Solid experience in Unix and Windows environments, including automation/scripting (Shell, Perl, Python, PowerShell).
• Proficient with OS platforms such as RedHat Linux, AIX, Solaris, SUSE, Windows.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, MariaDB.
• Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Apache, Tomcat, FTP/SFTP, SAMBA, NFS, BootFS, Splunk, Dynatrace.
• Understanding of scheduling tools (crontab, Control-M, Autosys).
• Exposure to PCF and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience in certificate management (e.g., Venafi).
• ITIL Foundation certification is preferred, with working knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Capacity Management.
