Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a family-oriented manufacturer in Burlington, WA to hire a mechanically inclined, reliable team member. The role blends shipping/receiving, delivery driving, and general shop operations in a hybrid work setting.

You will assist the Logistics Coordinator and Production Manager with inbound/outbound shipments, crate building, packing, labeling, and pickup/delivery in company vehicles.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
• Comfortable working in a fabrication or industrial environment.
• Forklift experience is a plus (training available).
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to follow safety protocols diligently around machinery and fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products using a flatbed truck up to 26,000 lb GVW (non-CDL) and other company vehicles.
• Secure and load materials to prevent damage.
• Represent the company professionally at customer and vendor locations.
• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and deliveries.
• Assist in preparing outgoing shipments with proper packaging to meet customer specs.
• Assist with material handling including loading/unloading metal, components, and tooling using pallets jacks, forklifts and other equipment.
• Operate basic shop tools and equipment (training provided).
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Support general shop tasks and maintain shared spaces.
• Assist with shop cleanup, waste disposal, recycling, and outdoor area maintenance.

We are looking for a mechanically inclined, reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team in a hybrid role supporting shipping/receiving, delivery driving, and general shop operations. A successful candidate will assist our Logistics Coordinator and Production Manager with processing all in and outbound shipments, building crates, packing, labeling outbound shipments, and pickup/delivery of finished goods in company vehicles. This position requires work outdoors and indoors.

Responsibilities

Logistics

• Sweep, clean, and support overall shop cleanliness
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and shared spaces
• Assist with shop cleanup, waste disposal, recycling, and maintain outdoor areas

• Strong attention to detail with good math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating shipment weights or quantities

Schedule & Salary Range

This role is a fully onsite, full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, and may require overtime work. The expected pay range for this position is $24.00 to $28.00 hourly, depending on experience, qualifications, and industry background.
