Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Production Supervisor in Cookeville, Tennessee. You will lead a team of skilled production and welding staff, owning throughput, quality, and safety on the floor.

You will collaborate with Production Managers, QA, Maintenance, and planning to keep the area running to standard and mentor a bench of talent. You will apply welding expertise, blueprint comprehension, and data-informed decision making to improve daily outcomes, while ensuring a safe, productive work

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication, with lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon/stainless steel and alloys.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings, check dimensions, and allocate resources effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong math skills and a mechanical mindset.
• Comfortable operating welding equipment and related manufacturing tools (e.g., cranes, cutting tools).
• Excellent communication and accountability, with MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own core manufacturing KPIs for the area, including schedule adherence, throughput, FPY, and WIP.
• Use basic data analytics to spot trends and drive daily decisions and corrective actions.
• Provide day-to-day direction for welding and pipe-fit-up to meet quality and production goals.
• Offer technical guidance in welding methods and equipment use; review orders/drawings for accuracy.
• Own first-line quality, flag non-conformances, and coordinate with QA on weld standards.
• Coordinate with maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment; submit maintenance requests.
• Drive continuous improvement through 5S/visual management and improvement events.
• Partner with planners to manage inventory and parts availability.
• Maintain a safe working environment; investigate injuries/incidents promptly.
• Present status and KPI updates to leadership; escalate issues as needed.
• Support development of direct reports, including growing Leads and conducting performance evaluations.
