Polymer Resources Ltd. located in Farmington, CT, seeks a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The role oversees extrusion lines, coaches a hands-on team, and ensures safety, quality and punctual delivery for medical, automotive and consumer markets.

The ideal candidate has experience leading manufacturing operations, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline pressure. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have great communication skills and write effectively.
• Must be able to perform arithmetic and algebra commensurate with high school graduation levels.
• Capable of writing reports, using personal computers and have basic computer skills in MS Office programs.
• Ability to work with hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the production team to ensure safety, quality, productivity and customer service goals.
• Operate extrusion lines (single screw and twin screw) and line subsystems including pumps, blowers, pelletizers, and temperature controllers.
• Ensure safe operations of personnel and equipment.
• Monitor equipment and process settings to meet customer specifications and maintain product quality.
• Handle multiple tasks calmly under pressure and respond to changing priorities.
• Coordinate activities between operators and VP of Operations; enforce plant policies.
