This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in the most cost-efficient manner, while maintaining customer specifications. The role includes ensuring all reporting requirements are met for the supervised area. Must be willing to work any shift.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Train employees and create an environment that enables them to achieve maximum quality and productivity performance in their respective roles.
2. Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machines to utilize departmental resources effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety, quality, and company standards.
3. Manage employee performance, providing positive and corrective feedback as needed.
4. Promote goodwill within the department and the company through proactive communication and employee involvement.
5. Collaborate with other departments to investigate areas of quality improvement, cost reduction, process enhancement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, offering suggestions for improvement.
6. Promote safety awareness throughout the work area.

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• One or more years of previous supervisory experience.
• Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
• Leadership experience managing 20 or more employees.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends, as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED; College degree in a related field is preferred.
