Job summary

Base, America’s next-generation power company, seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our growing manufacturing team in Austin. You will establish the production culture, guide a team of Production Associates, and ensure we build battery systems to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor in manufacturing/warehouse environments.
• Experience scaling a production line in high-growth settings.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S concepts.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends if needed to hit milestones.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, safe, and productive work environment. Remove roadblocks for your team.
• Model the Base Pace and uphold safety and respect as priorities.
• Serve as main link between production floor and management; communicate rationale and capture feedback.
• Ensure all products meet quality specifications and drive improvement in quality.
• Lead root cause investigations (e.g., 5 Whys) to prevent recurrence of defects.
• Champion 5S and a clean, organized workspace on the line.
• Monitor throughput and hit daily and weekly production targets; reallocate resources as needed.
• Execute ramp plans with leadership to handle increased volumes and new processes without losing momentum.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle times and waste using Lean approaches.
• Oversee onboarding and certification of new Production Associates; ensure ramp readiness.
• Collaborate with EHS to conduct safety audits and JHAs; train team on safety fundamentals.
• Manage day-to-day admin: time cards, scheduling, and resource planning with Warehouse.
