Job summary

Base is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our growing manufacturing team in Austin. You will guide Production Associates, ensure safety, quality, and on-time ramp targets while collaborating with engineering and warehouse teams to maximize output.

You will establish a culture of ownership, implement lean practices, and drive continuous improvement as we scale our battery systems to meet ambitious demand. This is a hands-on leadership role in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Production Supervisor in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse.
• Experience scaling a production line in a high-growth environment.
• Able to motivate a team and build ownership and pride in work.

Responsibilities

• Support Your Team: create a safe, productive environment and remove roadblocks.
• Set the Tone: model the Base Pace with safety and respect as priorities.
• Communication: act as the link between floor and management; ensure feedback is heard.
• Maintain Standards: ensure every product meets quality specs and explained why quality matters.
• Root Cause Analysis: lead investigations (5 Whys) to prevent recurrence.
• Organization (5S): champion a clean, organized workspace.
• Maximize Throughput: hit daily/weekly targets; monitor bottlenecks and realloc resources.
• Execute the Ramp: work with leadership to scale volumes and integrate new processes.
• Continuous Improvement: shave minutes from cycle times and reduce waste.
• Onboarding & Mentorship: oversee training and ramp-ready certification.
• Safety Stewardship: work with EHS on audits and JHA.
• Operations Management: handle time-card approvals, scheduling with Warehouse.
