Job summary

Specialty Granules LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to safely and efficiently produce roofing granules, while developing the skills of the team and managing costs per the production plan. You will lead, coach, and evaluate personnel, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and process standards.

Responsibilities include staffing, maintaining documentation, conducting root cause analyses, and driving Lean improvements to reduce waste and downtime.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years supervisory experience in a mining/manufacturing operation.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems in a manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality, production, and housekeeping standards are met at all times.
• Lead and manage assigned production personnel to safely meet/exceed all manufacturing goals.
• Develop and improve assigned production personnel skills for future career opportunities.
• Know and understand all product specifications and process locations.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and correct root causes of events.
• Schedule/plan manpower and production schedules.
• Write clearly defined work orders and develop SOPs for the department.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings using Lean principles.
