Job summary

Linde is seeking a Production Supervisor in Hillsboro, OR to lead safety and operational excellence at the facility. You will direct daily activities, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure safety, quality, and output targets are met.

The role requires hands-on leadership, 3–5 years in a supervisory capacity within industrial gases or chemicals, and a Bachelor's in Engineering preferred. Travel and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Three to five (3-5) years supervisory experience in the industrial gas or chemical industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise management programs.
• Experience with JD Edwards preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical processes, plant equipment, HMI-based control systems, quality standards, and statistical process control.
• Knowledge of OSHA, PSM, CGMP/FDA, ISO, Responsible Care, EPA standards.
• Ability to lead, develop, and direct teams to achieve results.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility safety and environmental compliance, respond to events.
• Schedule and direct daily activities, coordinate with stakeholders, and participate in production planning meetings.
• Resolve equipment failures, process upsets, quality issues, and safety/improvement impediments.
• Set performance goals, coach teams, and support training and retention.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers and projects, coordinate operational support requests.
• Provide operational coverage and monitor product supply to meet quality/output goals.
• Identify productivity improvements and conduct root-cause investigations.
• Coordinate with Engineering/Project Managers and support capital projects.
• Adjust controls and apply problem-solving tools to hit performance targets.
• Reduce operating costs and improve reliability through Operational Excellence.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance.
