Job summary

Linde Inc. in Wilmington, CA seeks a Production Superintendent to lead safe, compliant plant operations and drive reliability, efficiency, and budget discipline.

You will oversee safety programs, audits, training, and performance coaching for the operations team. You will coordinate maintenance, schedule personnel, manage costs, and participate in strategic initiatives to reduce downtime and emissions while meeting quality and delivery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of operations experience including 2+ years in a management role.
• Solid knowledge of operational processes, hazards, and equipment.
• Familiarity with company and site policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe plant operations and ensure safety trainings and programs are completed.
• Ensure compliance with QA, Reliability, Operations, SH&E, and manage variances and audit closures.
• Support regulatory and customer audits with focus on zero violations.
• Address production issues through root cause analysis and timely escalation.
• Coordinate PMs, PdMs, and CMs; minimize downtime and improve facility reliability.
• Develop and manage annual plant budgets; drive productivity and cost-saving initiatives.
• Schedule personnel, set team goals, and provide coaching for performance development.
• Create training plans for new hires and ongoing technical development.
• Serve as on-call manager for QA, process, safety and environmental issues.
