Job summary

VitroCareers in Pennsylvania seeks a manufacturing supervisor to lead shift associates, train and develop them in production methods, plant procedures, safety, quality and cost goals.

You will support continuous improvement to meet internal and external customer requirements and, in the absence of departmental supervisors, oversee Maintenance and Shipping while maintaining safety and clear communication with facility management.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and develop associates across shifts.
• Experience enforcing safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Experience monitoring production metrics and downtime.
• Experience with safety programs (PPE, LOTO, hazard communication).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach all shift associates, staffing, and recruitment as needed.
• Direct the work activities to meet production goals and costs for customer requirements.
• Provide a safe work environment; address safety concerns and enforce safety procedures.
• Evaluate associates and identify training needs, providing development opportunities.
• Monitor production and downtime metrics; implement corrective actions.
• Participate on improvement teams to drive area growth and engagement.
• Support QS9000/TS16949 policies; complete audits and corrective actions.
• Communicate production and employee issues to management for timely escalation.
