Software Placement Group (SPG) seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the night shift on-site in Olyphant, PA. You will supervise a production team, manage task assignments, monitor KPIs, and ensure GMP-compliant, 5S-driven operations to meet safety and quality targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, coach staff, coordinate shift handovers, and support talent development in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of GMP and 5S practices.
• Experience assessing skills and coordinating training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a production team, managing tasks, performance, and attendance.
• Oversee line activities, ensure equipment function and quality standards.
• Monitor KPIs to meet shift quality and delivery targets.
• Facilitate training and development for the team.
• Ensure continuous quality monitoring and take corrective actions.
• Identify and resolve production issues; drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Coach for high-performance culture and training alignment.
• Contribute to shift planning and resource management.
• Coordinate shift handovers and schedules for efficiency.
• Ensure GMP compliance and 5S/CI methodologies.

Overview

A manufacturing organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to lead its night shift operations in Olyphant, PA. This pivotal role involves overseeing production activities to meet key performance targets while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

What you'll do

• Lead and supervise a production team, managing task assignments, performance tracking, and attendance to ensure seamless operations
• Oversee production line activities, ensuring equipment functionality, adherence to quality standards, and timely achievement of production goals
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to meet shift-level quality and delivery objectives
• Facilitate employee training and development to ensure team members have the skills needed to meet operational standards
• Ensure continuous quality monitoring and initiate corrective actions for any deviations from standards
• Identify and resolve production issues, promoting continuous improvement and process enhancements
• Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and supporting professional growth
• Encourage a high-performance culture through coaching and development aligned with training strategies
• Contribute to operational planning by evaluating shift-level performance and resource availability
• Coordinate shift handovers and manage personnel schedules to maintain operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain work areas according to 5S and Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Perform additional duties as required within the scope of the position

Required qualifications

• Vocational or associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in assessing employee skills and coordinating training efforts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and resource management
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance standards
• Familiarity with production equipment and technical operations
