Principal Duties & Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the direction of assigned production resources to ensure optimum manufacturing performance regarding minimizing cost and achieving the highest possible levels of quality and delivery in accordance with the approved business plan. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the managing of hourly direct labor team members in the assigned manufacturing areas and shift. This position is also responsible for effectively managing cross-functional relationships with other departments to support effective use of manpower, materials, and equipment, as well as productivity improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years' experience in a team-based manufacturing environment
  • Strong MS Office and systems background
  • Demonstrated ability to lead hourly manufacturing employees, manage performance, and hold employees accountable to safety, quality, and production standards.
Preferred:
  • Experience in wire, cable, extrusion, or related manufacturing environments
  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Experience in continuous-process or high-volume manufacturing environments
Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred. Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience may be substituted for formal education.
