Job summary

Prysmian Group seeks a capable supervisor to lead shop floor teams in our U.S. manufacturing facility. You will oversee daily production, enforce safety policies, and drive improvements in quality and cost efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience, strong supervision, and proficiency with Excel and manufacturing metrics. You will coordinate between maintenance, logistics, and operators to meet targets.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED Diploma required.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing Technology or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience required.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience using production data, KPIs and reporting tools to drive decisions; Lean exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and administer Prysmian Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment at all times.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
  • Coordinate between groups such as logistics and maintenance.
  • Resolve conflicts on the shop floor.
  • Perform necessary clerical activities such as time or record keeping.
  • Drive quality and cost saving initiatives.
  • Guide, mentor, and lead shop floor associates.

Brief Summary of Primary Duties:
  • Communicate and administer Prysmian Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment at all times.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.

Specific Skills/Training Required:

  • Ability to use written work instructions to complete task.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment –including but not limited to OD tapes, calibers, micrometers.
  • Hazardous Waste Training.
  • First Responders Training.
Education:
  • High School/GED Diploma - required.
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience required.
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience utilizing production data, KPIs, reporting tools, and operational metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Lean manufacturing exposure preferred.
Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements:
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas.
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas.
  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors.
