Job summary

Prysmian Group in Abbeville, SC is seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor to lead daily production, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will manage data and KPIs, mentor teams, coordinate between logistics and maintenance, and implement cost-saving and quality initiatives while adhering to Prysmian policies.

Strong communication, organizational, and Lean manufacturing experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree preferred in a technical discipline such as Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or related field.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using production data, KPIs and reporting tools to guide decisions.
  • Lean manufacturing exposure is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.

Brief Summary Of Primary Duties
  • Communicate and administer Prysmian Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure a safe work environment at all times

Education
  • High School/GED Diploma - required
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
Experience
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience required
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience required
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience utilizing production data, KPIs, reporting tools, and operational metrics to drive decision‑making and continuous improvement.
  • Lean manufacturing exposure preferred
Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas
  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors
