Job summary

Abbott in Altavista, VA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the nutrition manufacturing team. You’ll oversee shift activities, drive safety and quality, and coach line members to maintain efficient production of our nutrition brands.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily line operations, managing labor costs, and ensuring compliance with FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies. A bachelor’s degree or two years of supervisory experience in a regulated industry is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years supervisory experience in a regulated industry with a GED/High School diploma.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Modeling and promoting behaviors to drive a culture of safety and quality compliance
• Driving operational efficiencies and understanding performance based on key metrics

• Managing expenses, including labor and overtime costs
• Modeling and promoting accountability to our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures
