Job summary

Abbott Nutrition is seeking a Sr Production Equipment Operator for Altavista, VA. The role focuses on safely operating and maintaining high-speed production equipment to manufacture leading nutrition products like Similac, PediaSure, Pedialyte, Ensure, and Glucerna.

The Altavista plant features advanced technology and a collaborative team environment. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED with preferred manufacturing experience.

What You’ll Work On

• Safely operate, clean and help maintain the production related equipment both complex and standard high-speed production equipment that makes our industry-leading nutrition products
• Maintain accurate and legible records and documentation
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials for the equipment in operation
• Troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ensure that both products and materials are of proper identification, correct codes and expiration dates.
• Perform periodic online visual quality inspections and offline quality tests
• You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 6 months prior manufacturing experience
• Proficiency in basic math, good verbal and written communication skills
• Some mechanical aptitude

The base pay for this position is $17.15 - $34.25/hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
