Job summary

Anchor Fabrication is seeking a Machinist Supervisor to lead a production team in a safety-focused environment. The role involves documenting Near Misses, ensuring adherence to PPE and equipment-use policies, and driving lean 6S practices across the department.

You will monitor quality, push for process improvements, and support operators to hit production goals while maintaining a compliant, safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Two years of proven experience as a machinist supervisor over a production team.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate staff.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Able to use handheld measuring tools to verify dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Drive a safety-oriented work environment and 6S/lean principles.
• Enter Near Misses to capture safety issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies (PPE, safe behavior, equipment use).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
• Improve processes through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor production to meet quality standards and attainment goals.
• Support and motivate operators to achieve production targets.
• Be a positive team influence and lead by example.
