Job summary

Carlisle Brake & Friction seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Medina, Ohio manufacturing operations. This hands-on role focuses on safety culture, employee development, and achieving production goals with continuous improvements in quality, delivery, and cost.

The ideal candidate will be a visible, results-oriented leader who holds people accountable and solves problems at the source across departments. Strong coaching and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent).
• Five+ years manufacturing experience, with at least three years leading production employees.
• Proven track record in safety, quality, delivery, labor, productivity, and cost performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals.
• Plan daily staffing and work assignments based on production requirements and equipment availability.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices (PPE, lockout/tagout, machine guarding).
• Monitor production output, downtime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment.
• Use data and root-cause methods to resolve equipment, process, quality, and workflow issues.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives (6S, standard work, visual management, kaizen, waste reduction).
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve issues.
• Set clear expectations and provide coaching, recognition, feedback, and corrective action.
