Carlisle Brake & Friction in Medina, Ohio is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations. This hands-on leader will build a strong safety culture, develop employees, and drive improvements in quality, delivery, productivity and cost.

The ideal candidate is results-oriented, acknowledges strong performance, resolves issues at the source, and collaborates across departments to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in manufacturing, operations, engineering or related field.
• Five+ years manufacturing experience with at least 3 years leading production employees.
• Proven track record in safety, quality, delivery, labor, productivity and cost performance.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and structured root-cause problem solving.
• Strong coaching, communication, conflict-resolution and performance-management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (ERP/MES/timekeeping).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals.
• Plan daily staffing and work assignments based on production requirements and equipment availability.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices including PPE, lockout/tagout, machine guarding and plant safety procedures.
• Monitor production output, downtime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency and schedule attainment.
• Use data and root-cause methods to resolve equipment, process, quality and workflow issues.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 6S, standard work, visual management, kaizen, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve issues.
• Set clear employee expectations and provide coaching, recognition, feedback and corrective action.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, cross-training, and skills development.
• Ensure accurate production reporting, timekeeping, attendance tracking and shift handoffs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and audit-ready production environment.
