Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in manufacturing, operations, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 3 years leading production employees.
• Proven success in safety, quality, delivery, labor, productivity and cost performance.
• Experience with Lean and structured root-cause problem solving.
• Strong coaching, communication, conflict-resolution and performance-management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MES and electronic timekeeping; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity goals.
• Plan daily staffing and assignments based on production needs and equipment availability.
• Enforce safe practices including PPE, lockout/tagout, machine guarding and plant procedures.
• Monitor output, downtime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency and schedule attainment.
• Use data and root-cause methods to resolve equipment, process, and workflow issues.
• Drive Lean initiatives such as 6S, standard work, visual mgmt, kaizen and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain and HR.
• Set clear expectations, provide coaching, recognition and corrective action.
• Oversee onboarding, training, cross-training and skills development; ensure accurate production reporting.
