Job summary

Carlisle Brake & Friction seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations at our Medina, Ohio facility. This hands-on leader builds safety culture, develops staff, and drives improvements in quality, delivery, productivity and cost.

The ideal candidate will coach, hold people accountable, solve problems from the source, and collaborate across departments to achieve production goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, business or equivalent.
• Five+ years of manufacturing experience with 3+ years leading production teams.
• Proven ability to drive safety, quality, delivery, labor, productivity and cost performance.
• Experience using Lean, structured root-cause problem solving and ERP/MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop production employees to meet safety, quality and output goals.
• Plan daily staffing and assignments based on production needs and equipment availability.
• Enforce safe work practices, PPE, lockout/tagout and machine guarding.
• Monitor output, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency and schedule attainment.
• Use data and root-cause methods to resolve equipment, process and quality issues.
• Advance Lean initiatives: 6S, standard work, visual management, kaizen and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain and HR.
• Set expectations, provide coaching, recognition and corrective actions.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and cross-training of staff.
• Ensure accurate production reporting, timekeeping and shift handoffs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, audit-ready production environment.
