Job summary

SDM Composites is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing and production personnel, ensuring on-time deliveries, safety, quality, and efficiency. The role reports to the General Manager and requires coordinating shift assignments and workloads.

The ideal candidate will have at least an Associate’s degree, 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience (prefer aerospace), strong English communication, and proven ability to train teams, implement Lean and 5S, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training with at least 3 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop diverse teams across shifts.
• Knowledge of time-based improvement methods.
• Understanding of budgeting/financial principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign shifts; coordinate workloads with the General Manager to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Ensure all shift employees are trained and current on training requirements.
• Audit processes; perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Foster clear communication within and between work centers and other departments; delegate effectively.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and 5S to identify opportunities for quality and production improvements.
• Investigate safety violations and enforce policies; focus on prevention and corrective action.
• Participate in recruitment, selection, and development of operations personnel; conduct training and performance reviews.
