Job summary

Rock West Composites, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our San Diego Aircraft facility (Otay Mesa). You will supervise a team of 10+ technicians, oversee production schedules, and drive safety, quality, and cost objectives across multiple shifts.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput. The role requires a strong lean background, 8+ years in production supervision (aerospace/composites

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of production supervision experience, preferably in composites or aerospace manufacturing.
• 3+ years of composite fabrication experience.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ technicians in a job-shop or high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities across shifts, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
• Supervise and develop a team of 10+ technicians, manage performance and staffing decisions.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead Lean initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, scrap reduction, and cost savings.
• Track KPIs and conduct Tier meetings to communicate priorities and performance.
