Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a Manager, Operations in San Diego, CA to lead day-to-day advanced composites production. You will supervise a team of technicians in a high-precision environment, ensure safety, meet on-time delivery, and maintain AS9100 quality standards while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires 7–10 years of aerospace composites experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent as stated.
• 7–10 years of aerospace manufacturing experience with composites.
• Lean manufacturing experience with kanban and process improvement.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Initiates plans to minimize manufacturing costs while meeting schedules.
• Leads the Production Team to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Develops world-class operations through training and coaching.
• Drives Lean improvements to eliminate bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Ensures safety and compliance with regulations and company policy.
• Manages staffing, performance, and development to meet goals.
• Collaborates with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Program Management and Supply Chain.
