Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a defined production area in San Antonio. You will oversee Team Leads and Operators, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and partner with planning and maintenance to maintain flow and takt targets.

This 100% in-office role emphasizes people leadership, continuous improvement, and daily management routines such as tier meetings and 5S standards, with career growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related degree.
• 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing with leadership.
• Experience with takt time, standard work, visual management, and daily tier meetings.
• Proficiency in ERP, Excel, and production dashboards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution of production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate Team Leads and Operators with a focus on accountability and teamwork.
• Ensure adherence to daily build schedules and takt time; escalate risks to the Operations Manager.
• Monitor and track performance against KPIs and lead Tier 1 daily management meetings.
• Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance to ensure work center readiness.
• Enforce safety protocols, 5S, standard work, and policy compliance.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, and upskilling of team members.
• Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, delivery, or safety issues.
