Job summary

IEM is seeking an Operations Manager in San Antonio to own the production value stream, drive KPI performance, and lead a cross-functional team. This role emphasizes Lean principles, continuous improvement, and close collaboration with Planning, Materials, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance.

Based in NE San Antonio temporarily with a future Brooks location; 100% in-office, no remote work. A proven background in manufacturing leadership and data-driven problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, operations, business, or industrial tech.
• 3–5 years manufacturing leadership experience (supervisor/manager).
• Proven KPI improvements (cycle time, FPY, DPU, cost).
• Ability to coach and manage cross-functional teams with accountability.
• Strong analytical skills using KPIs, RCA and Lean tools.
• Hands-on Lean, value stream mapping, waste elimination, and workflow optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own KPI ownership and performance management across the value stream.
• Lead daily production operations safely and efficiently per schedules.
• Manage and develop cross-functional teams (production, quality, materials, maintenance).
• Coordinate production scheduling with planning and materials to balance demand and capacity.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using RCA, Pareto, and A3 methods.
• Champion Lean initiatives: 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, VSM to eliminate waste.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across production.
