Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking an Operations Manager to own the end-to-end production value stream, drive KPIs, and lead a cross-functional team in a Lean manufacturing environment in San Antonio, TX.

You will collaborate with Planning, Materials, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to optimize processes, reduce waste, and sustain continuous improvement with a strong focus on safety and cost efficiency. This is an in-office role near Brooks, with no remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Proven track record of KPI improvement (cycle time, FPY, DPU, cost).
• Experience coaching cross-functional teams and driving accountability.
• Lean tools usage (5S, Kaizen, VSM) and production workflow optimization.
• Strong communication with shop floor, peers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• KPI ownership and performance management across OTD, FPY, DPU, safety, and cost.
• Oversee daily production activities aligned with schedules and quality standards.
• Lead and develop cross-functional teams including maintenance, materials, and quality.
• Coordinate with Planning and Materials to balance demand and capacity.
• Lead root-cause analysis using Pareto, A3, and process mapping.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with Lean principles.
